Path of the Abyss: Cursed Ascension
(This game was originally made for Global Game Jam 2021, theme: Lost and Found)
Take the role of a spell-wielding knight that has been cursed and sent to the Abyss. This unique and powerful curse seems to take away all of your belongings every time you enter a new enter of the Abyss. Conquering this otherworldly dimension requires a great deal of planning, a handful of spellslinging, and a little bit of luck. Surrender your items, retrieve them one by one, and slay voidspawns left and right in this 2.5D hack-n-slash action game.

this game is allot of fun i love it although a couple requests are (and again these are only suggestions) more weapons (axe, mace, ect.) and level up new powers unlocked.
but overall a great game well done :)
Thank you for playing! :D Noted on your suggestions, we currently halted development because of day jobs but we're looking forward in continuing this and more powers/items are already on the books.
Recommended by my SO. I was informed that one of the creators who made the game was her school mate so we were curious on how would it play.
I was surprised by how fleshed out the game is in terms of mechanics and the direction you guys are going for. I was not expecting this type of quality, but that could be coming from me playing a lot of indie mobile games made in our country. Might be a nitpicking but I noticed that there's actually no incentive for the player to explore the whole floor since there is no exp, currency, or skill experience to grind for. I noticed myself rushing through the stages to get my equipment upgraded, rinse and repeat. I would also suggest a bit change of scenery per 10 floors? like environment hazards I find it helpful with rouge-like games to have varying stages. But overall, I really like this game!
Thank you very much for playing the game! As this was just a game jam build which was made in 3 days, we have to cut out parts and focus on the item mechanic only but we assure you once we got to continue the game, a lot more challenge and additional features will be added to make it more challenging. Still we're glad you have found the game enjoyable! :D
